In order to support the renewable energy sector, government plans to provide viability gap funding (VGF) for solar power projects in the second phase of the national solar mission. Andhra Pradesh has called for investors to put up about 1,000 MW of solar power projects in the State. Andhra Pradesh transmission utility, APTRANSCO, has put out a list of sub-stations and the solar power capacity that each of them can take.Bidders are to bid up to that capacity at that location.
