Kalpasar water project important for Japanese delegation

Japanese trade delegation has shown interest in the ambitious Rs 30,000-crore Kalpasar Project which has put forward to build a dam on the Gulf of Khambat in Gujarat and establish a huge reservoir of fresh water. It is learnt that the delegation has pledged for organizing a seminar in Japan in two months to display opportunities back home offered by this project for companies specialising in water projects. Kalpasar project is prospective and shall aid the government execute its commitment for supplying water to parched areas of Saurashtra region. The re-designed dam is planned to be built from Kalatalav in Bhavnagar district in Saurashtra to Aladar in Bharuch district in south Gujarat, which is 15-km north of the place from where the dam was before predicted from Ghogha in Bhavnagar to Hansot in Bharuch.
