Somany to invest Rs 100 crore to up ceramics production
Somany Ceramics said it will invest over Rs 100 crore in the next three years for enhancing its production capacities by 10 mn sq m annually. The company is looking to form a new JV within the next six months that will set up a new facility with an installed capacity of 2.5-3 mn sq m annually in Gujarat. Somany Ceramics Joint Managing Director, Abhishek Somany said at the Building Material Exhibition in Delhi that the company is expanding its capacities. In the next three years, Somany will add 10 mn sq m of annual capacities through greenfield and brownfield options. The company currently has a total production capacity of 35 mn sq m per annum at its four plants, out of which two are JV units.
