HUDA floats tender for rain water harvesting pits
In order to restore water level in ground water table, Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has plans to construct nearly 317 rain water harvesting pits in open areas of parks, green belts, and shopping centers in Gurgaon. For this purpose, the authority has floated a contract. The authority has expressed concern about the depleting ground water table in the city and it is taking a series of steps to restore it. As part of the efforts, it has made installation of water harvesting pit c housing plots of 200 sq yard and above.
