According to GWSSB, the players will be finalised by January, 2013. Meanwhile, the project is expected to start by March, 2013 and will be completed within two years. It is a drainage scheme wherein the pipeline network for the drainage work and different pipes of varying sizes will be utilised, said TK Patel, Executive Engineer, PHW Division, Gujarat Water Supply and Sewage Board (GWSSB). He further added, More than 30,000 people in Savli shall benefit from this project. Commenting on the challenges, the executive engineer said, Some streets are very narrow and the space available is insufficient, therefore we are finding it difficult to lay the drainage pipeline. There are no objections from the people, and they are very eager. In fact, the people in the town are ready to help even if any problems were to occur during the commissioning of this project.
