Satec: Offering solutions for customised portable structures

Globalization has altered the dynamics of industries across the world. Expansion, diversification and urbanization have spurred economic growth, which, in turn, has propelled the need for world class infrastructure. India too has been influenced by this positive metamorphosis. Sprawling complexes and mega projects have been speedily marking major and non-major Indian cities.

In such high velocity growth scenario, companies are working at mammoth pace to bring their projects on the finishing line without delays. Engineers, workers and related employees need to cohesively work round-the-clock and, hence, it is pivotal for them to reside in close proximity to the site. This need of the hour has stirred a boom in the demand for portable or demountable structures.

A portable building or demountable building is designed and built to be movable rather than permanently located. In India, currently, very few companies offer professional, high quality services in portable or mobile homes/cabins manufacturing.
Satec Envir Engineering (I) is one of India’s leading names in providing state-of-the-art structural solutions. An ISO 9001:2008 company, Satec has carved a niche in manufacturing the most advanced portable structures by investing in sophisticated technology and professionally qualified manpower. Already having positioned itself in urban and rural infrastructure market, the company has charted out ambitious blueprints to expand its business in India and globally.

Portable Structures: Competitive Edge
Easy Utility, Durability and Flexibility are the main strengths of portable structures that give them a competitive edge compared to conventional brick edifices.

Other reasons that count in favour of demountable homes/cabins are value for money, hassle free transportation, quick installation, lesser power consumption and usability that can last up to over four decades.

As a well-established and experienced player in this industry, Satec is well-equipped in offering customised portable structures on par with international standards. Its product range includes manufacturing low-cost residential accommodations, site offices, portable cabins/containers, security cabins and other customer-specific structures. Besides furnishing the portable structures with basic amenities (toilet, furniture, internal electrical wiring and fittings) and a broad spectrum of interior features, Satec also includes recreational rooms.

Explaining Satec’s strengths, Mr Amar Agarwal, Managing Director of the company says, “We have already constructed several colonies for working class as well as top end engineers all over India and overseas. Our endeavour is not just to ‘manufacture’, but rather ‘create’ portable units. That is, we create customized structures as per the needs and specifications of our individual customers which is our USP.”

Satec: Integrating Quality, Safety and Affordability
Maintaining high quality, global standards is a culture in Satec. Satec porta cabins are made of poly-urethane foam (known as puff) which is an excellent material for strength and insulation. The company has excessively invested in the most modern manufacturing facilities in Bhuj spread over 6.25 acres of land. It has the monthly capacity to produce 9,00,000 square feet of PUF panels for which the dedicated PUF manufacturing plant is well-equipped with technology imported from Italy and Germany.

To ensure human safety the structures are designed to suit any temperature (in cold, hot temperatures, 170 kmph wind) and can retain temperature for a long time, especially those which have air conditioners in it. Moreover, they are built to cope with natural calamities like earthquakes.

“Our mobile structures are compliant with the internationally set parameters. They go through rigorous tests and offer maximum safety. Most importantly, they are more cost-effective than constructing a concrete enclosure. Assembling a portable cabin can save money on material, transportation and time”, adds Mr Agarwal.

Empowering Eco-friendliness
Satec is true to the cause of environmental and social responsibility. Unlike conventional building demountable structures do not accumulate waste like asphalt shingles, concrete, brick and wood. Besides, the increased insulation reduces power consumption significantly. Once a project is over at a particular site, the cabins can be easily dismantled and relocated. The only thing left is the base, that is, a 1ft. high plinth which works as a strong foundation for the portable cabins.

Riding High On Future
“Satec is bullish about the future of the portable structure industry and of the organization’s growth”, asserts Mr Agarwal. In the last three years, Satec has installed porta cabins 100 times more than what the company used to do. Satec has recently executed a project in Australia under extremely challenging conditions and has several other projects in pipeline with high profile customers in India and abroad. The company is capable today of making porta cabins of Ground + two level and further aims to make low-cost houses. The future structure of Satec stands Promising, Progressive and Profitable.
