L&T bags Rs 2,800 cr EPC contracts

The Larsen and Toubro has bagged two engineering procurement and construction orders worth Rs 2,834 crore from Bangladesh. L&T will construct dual-fuel gas based combined cycle power plants. L&t has received first order of Rs 1,653.40 crore from Marubeni Corporation, Japan for setting up Bheramara Combined Cycle Power Plant development project (360 MW) of North West Power Generation Company in the country. Another order, worth Rs 1,181 crore, has been received from the Bangladesh Power Development Board for setting up 225 MW Sikalbaha Combined Cycle Power Plant near the port city of Chittagong. The plant will incorporate gas and steam turbines from Siemens AG, Germany and other steam turbine manufacture, which will be procured by L&T.
